The Organization
SE Health is a not-for-profit, social enterprise with over 114 years of community care experience and a vision to forever impact how people live and age at home. SE Health provides care to Canadians across settings, and develops education, research and innovative solutions to better support individuals and their families. As a social enterprise, SE Health invests back to communities to support gaps in society through social impact programs addressing areas related to Indigenous health, end of life care, and the Future of Aging.
The Project
SE Health envisions age-friendly communities across the country with affordable homes designed so older adults will move in because they want to and stay in because they can. There is a large and growing need for a greater supply and range of housing options for older adults, especially low- and moderate-income Canadians. Through the Social Purpose Real Estate Accelerator program, SE Health is further exploring opportunities to develop innovative affordable housing for older adults that supports aging in place and bridges the gap between the housing and health sectors.
