The Infrastructure Institute offers free social purpose real estate training programs that support non-profit organizations accelerate their development projects and build up their communities.

In partnership with the Community Housing Transformation Centre and United Way Greater Toronto, the Infrastructure Institute is currently offering the Social Purpose Real Estate (SPRE) National Accelerator.

National SPRE Organizational Readiness

The National SPRE Organizational Readiness Program is a free, public program for non-profit organizations in Canada that are looking to assess project feasibility and organizational capacity to develop a Social Purpose Real Estate (SPRE) project.

The 6-week program runs weekly beginning September 24, 2026. 

Applications for the 2026-27 cohort open July 15th, 2026 and close September 4, 2026.

Roadmap Connect

Infrastructure Institute supports CP Planning as a program delivery partner in the Social Purpose Real Estate (SPRE) mentorship programs as part of CP Planning’s Roadmap For Redevelopment: Plans to Confront Systemic Racism “Roadmap”. These programs seek to address the barriers that racialized leaders and communities of non-profit organizations face in the development and procurement of affordable housing.

FutureBUILDS BIPOC Real Estate Development Incubator

FutureBUILDS is a BIPOC Real Estate Development Incubator developed by Monumental and implemented in partnership with the University of Toronto’s Infrastructure Institute. The project is funded by the Future Skills Centre. FutureBUILDS seeks to support mid-career Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC), who are interested in launching entrepreneurial ventures in real estate development.
