About the Program

Presented in partnership between the Rotman School of Management and the Infrastructure Institute at the School of Cities, the Canadian Infrastructure Leadership Academy (CILA) is a comprehensive, practice-focused executive training program for the rising leaders of the most ambitious, complex major projects in Canada – the multi-billion-dollar transportation, energy, water, military, mining, and information technology projects that will reshape the country’s future.

The program is designed for public and private sector project leaders with 10-15 years of experience, who have taken on roles with progressively greater responsibility, and are now aiming to take the next step in their career to lead the largest projects in their organization.

Delivered over six months through a blended format of immersive in-person learning, virtual seminars, and applied project work, CILA equips participants with the leadership, governance, and decision-making skills required to deliver complex infrastructure projects in an increasingly challenging environment.

Developed in collaboration with industry and government sector leaders, the program combines world-class research with practical experience in major project delivery. Taught by top professors and leading practitioners, the program is highly interactive and case study based, enabling participants to gain leadership and technical expertise, while building a national network of senior leaders from across asset classes and sectors.
