Indus Community Services

Greater Toronto Area

The Organization

Indus Community Services is an accredited, not-for-profit community benefit organization that has served local communities for over 38 years. As a registered charity supported by its donors and by all three levels of government, Indus is a leader in the provision of culturally appropriate services to newcomers, families, women, and seniors in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon.

The Project

Indus, as the lead agency, formed the Brampton Catalyst Housing Group in partnership with Punjabi Community Health Services (PCHS), Roots Community Services, Boys and Girls Club of Peel, Brampton Bramalea Christian Fellowship Church.  The Catalyst project aims to develop approximately 200 units, organized either within a single tower building or distributed across three individual buildings for each organization involved. In both scenarios, the project emphasizes the creation of shared indoor and outdoor spaces, thoughtfully designed to accommodate the diverse needs and events programmed by each participating organization.
