Co-op Housing Sector Capacity, Barriers, and Development Readiness

Delivered in partnership with CHF Canada, this research project investigates what it means for an organization to be ready to develop co-operative housing. Through a literature review and interviews with existing co-ops, the project explores what organizational and capacity characteristics allow co-op organizations to access funding and move projects forward, as well as examines what characteristics are barring organizations from accessing funding.
The final report will provide best-practice recommendations for the sector and become an advocacy tool for CHF Canada.
