Mission
To guide and support refugees and newcomers with the resources, connections, and opportunities they need to build independent, successful lives in Canada.
Project
Reception House provides temporary accommodation to government-assisted refugees (GARs). One of their strategic goals is to invest in existing facilities and develop a property that supports the successful transition of GARs and other vulnerable refugees into the Waterloo Region community.
In the Accelerator, they will
Gain the knowledge required to be an informed, active partner in the development of this project, while working towards being application-ready for a Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation grant by May/June 2026. They aim to have all building permits in place and be shovel-ready on the project by September 2026.
